CLOSURE OF CHURCHES IN NORTHERN IRELAND

CLOSURE OF CHURCHES IN NORTHERN IRELAND

UPDATE (20th November 2020) - Message from the Moderator & Clerk

To all Ministers, GPC, and Congregational Office Bearers

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As you may have heard the Northern Ireland Executive has agreed much tougher Covid-19 restrictions that will come into place on November 27th for two weeks.

All hospitality, close contact services, non-essential retail, leisure and entertainment facilities, and churches will have to close during that period. (schools are not being closed this time).

In that two-week period all churches will have to close for Sunday Worship but can be used for weddings or funerals with up to 25 people present.

Where possible, you should revert to your online services etc during this period.

Yours in the Lord

Rev Robert A McKee

Clerk of General Synod

(Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church of Ireland)
